CURRENT WORK

GENDER PORTRAITS

The Gender Portraits are “self” portrait collaborations with the artist, where individuals present their own embodiment of femaleness. All portraits shown here are printed on Hahnemuhle German Etch and set within oval frames.

BEAUTY REVISITED

BEAUTY REVISITED is an extension of The Gender Portrait Project bringing together photographic portraits with personal narrative into the context of the "American home". The work confronts society’s displacement of female identity.

FURNISHING FABRICS

Textiles printed on heavy cottons and canvas with conceptual imagery. Suitable for upholstery, cushions, and other interior furnishings. Fabrics initially designed and made for my installations and portraiture.

CHAIRS

Chairs as found objects are refinished with milk paint, waxed, and upholstered in hand screen printed textiles as a component of Beauty Revisited series.

TEXTILE PRINTING PROCESSES   Upholstery and furnishing fabrics as well as a collaged and dyed “tapestry-style” wall-hanging were printed February 2009 at Women’s Studio Workshop.

Passion Series

Fiber reactive dye silk screened furnishing fabrics to be used in EMMA's Parlour. Pattern motifs designed using symbolism of women's fertility and sexual liberation.

Homage to Seamstresses
